Shame & Vulnerablility

 In her talk, Listening to Shame, researcher and storyteller Brené Brown explains the difference between guilt and shame and how women and men tend to differ in their experience of shame. She also identifies empathy as the antidote to shame. 

In her talk,The Power of Vulnerability, Brené defines shame as the universal fear of disconnection. She advises us that in order to have connection, we need to embrace being vulnerable.
